The Maximum Advantage® Method Detection Limit Software allows for
maximum data quality. Seven or more data points are required to
calculate the MDL. If less than seven points are entered the software
will remind you of the seven point minimum and will not allow you
to continue without meeting the requirement. Furthermore, if one
or more of the replicate results are less than the calculated MDL,
a notification will strongly recommend the study be repeated. If
the study is completed and does not meet the specified requirements,
the study will be logged in the "Invalid MDL Report."
The "View MDLs" function of this
program makes it easy to find a particular MDL study. It is possible
to peruse through all of the studies or search by analyte, department,
or instrument. At any time it is possible to print a detailed "Method
Detection Limit Report" for a study.
Similar to the "View MDL" function,
"Edit MDL" makes it easy to locate and edit a particular
MDL study. This function can be password protected for data security.
MAMDLS can generate several
other useful "Management Reports". The "PQL
MDL Report" lists the MDL and PQL for every analyte, the
date they were completed, and the due date. The "Expired
MDLs Report" lists all of the analytes in each department
that have expired MDLs. The "Expire Within a month Report"
makes it easy to keep the MDLs up to date and helps assure expired
MDLs will not be used.
