Maximum Advantage® Reagent Traceability
Software (MARTS) includes a Reagent and Solution Preparation Book
tailored by you to fit your laboratory needs. Reagent Traceability
Software calculates expiration dates of your prepared solutions
from the expiration dates of the reagents used in solution preparation,
and the 'Expire after (days)' value from your preparation procedure.
The software checks for expiration dates of all reagents used, and
assigns the expiration date for the solution being prepared
based on the earliest expiration date. Reagent Traceabiltiy does
not allow you to prepare a solution from expired, not open and /or
closed reagents or solutions. MARTS assigns
a unique control number to the solution, and prints a label for
the new solution container indicating the following information:
solution control number, analyte name, name of solution, concentration,
date prepared, initials of preparer and expiration date. Purchased
reagents entered into the software are automatically assigned a
unique control number. When a reagent is opened, a label is printed listing the
reagent control number, received, opened, and expiration dates, and
analyst's initials.
MARTS can generate several Management
Reports. The "Solution Preparation Report," the core of
the system, prints a detailed report for the selected solution used
in an analysis, which tracks reagents from the manufacturer. "Solutions
Preparation Book Report" prints solution preparation procedures.
"Incoming Reagent Logbook Report" prints purchased reagents.
"Daily Solution Logbook Report" prints daily-prepared
solutions. "Expired Reagents (Not Closed) Report," when
printed on a routine basis, assures that all purchased reagents
are within the expiration date. "Closed Reagent Report"
sorts emptied or closed reagents beyond the expiration date. "Reagents
That Expire in 30 Days Report" helps assure that all purchased
reagents are within their expiration date, and facilitates ordering
of replacement reagents.
