The Quality Control Manual: A Blueprint for Success

WEB-EX INTERNET TRAINING AGENDA

Who should participate: This one-hour course is directed toward water and
wastewater superintendents, laboratory managers and analysts, quality
control officers, and operators who perform laboratory or field
measurements. The course is particularly well suited to those who generate
and evaluate data in accordance with a quality system dictated by a specific
guidance document.

Learning objectives: Learn how to write a QC Manual or update your
existing manual. A good QA Manual is your guide for the design and control
of a quality system. The scope of the manual in conjunction with supporting
standard operating procedures establishes the groundwork for a strong QA
Program and governs the day-to-day operations of your laboratory. Learn the
value of the right QA Manual and options for its format. After the course,
you will understand the role of the QA Manual, know individual
responsibilities for each section of the manual and the individual's role in
constant improvement of data.

Course Description:
Attendees will learn how to comply with NELAC QC Manual
Requirements. Specifics on the essential components needed in the QC Manual
will be presented. You will learn how to document the quality of laboratory
data. The course will include assigning responsibilities and defining
laboratory organization, which encourages staff participation and ownership
of the end product.
