Who should participate:
This one-hour course is directed toward laboratory directors, managers,
analysts, quality control officers, and operators who oversee or
perform laboratory or field measurements, and particularly those
who collect, process, or receive samples throughout the course of
the work day.
Learning objectives: Attendees will
learn how to defend data based upon samples that are collected,
shipped, received, or processed as a matter of routine. You will
learn the essential requirements of creating a defensible data trail,
beginning with documentation of collection, chain of custody protocols,
sample handling and preservation. Learn what is required to establish
and maintain sample integrity. After the course, participants will
know how to complete a chain of custody, how to maintain sample
integrity, and how to prepare for a sampling event.
