Who should participate:
This one-hour course is directed toward laboratory directors, managers,
analysts, quality control officers, and operators who oversee or
perform laboratory or field measurements, and particularly those
who may be called upon to defend scientific data.
Learning objectives: The course will
prepare the participants for data challenges and encourage professional
growth of the laboratory staff. Attendees will learn the essential
requirements of a training program, and why it is important to document
training and establish requirements for initial on ongoing demonstration
of capability. You will learn what is necessary to design, implement,
and/or use a formal training program. Learn how to develop and use
records to document that each analyst in the laboratory is capable
and competent of performing analytical tests.
Course Description:
Specific requirements for documentation will be reviewed and used
to establish compliance with a formal training program. Segments
include information on new employee orientation to maintaining employee
