Administrative Assistant

Position Description

a) Generation of records and documents

b) Interact with customers to provide assistance in obtaining information

c) Provide overall organization to office functions

Reports To:

Laboratory Manager and Office Manager

Specific Duties:

1. Reports and Invoices

  a) Generate routine LIMS reports

  b) Generate reports to customer specifications

  c) Print invoice and coordinate with reports for management review

  d) Maintain copies of reports, faxes and correspondence

  e) Photocopy, file, email, fax, mail reports as necessary

2. Office Administration and Management

  a) General office filing, maintenance of hard copy and computer records, mailings, etc.

  b) Order office supplies and maintain office equipment

3. Customer Services

  a) Answer telephone, assist customers and route calls as required

  b) Assist laboratory staff with filing, copying, etc.

  c) Greet customers and assist with registration for lab tours and meetings

  d) Maintain visitor logbook
