Alloway is excited to introduce our Summer Webinar Series! Find out the latest news in the water and wastewater industry without the travel and expense of traditional training programs.
On Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 from 12 to 1 P.M. Alloway will be introducing the first topic in our series. This webinar is titled, The Impact of Harmful Algal Blooms on the Water and Wastewater Industries, and features presenters Barbara Lubberger with the Ohio EPA Division of Drinking and Ground Waters, and Andy Bachman with the Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water.
The presentation will address the impact of harmful algal blooms (HABs) on public water systems in Ohio, and what Ohio EPA’s Division of Drinking and Ground Waters is doing to ensure public water systems are prepared to address HABs in their source waters. This includes proposed rules for 2016 for surface water systems and enhanced contingency planning. The presentation will also discuss what a HAB is, how they develop, what associated problems they cause, what Ohio EPA has been doing to address HAB related issues, and other recent changes in NPDES permits.
Alloway is offering this webinar free of charge for all existing and potential customers.
